28th February 2003. My first band, Ophidian, did our first gig at a friend's show. We were due to play a week later, but another band pulled out and we got the gig as subs. We were the heaviest band there and we went on first.
Our set was 5 songs, 17 minutes long. We'd already recorded a demo, so these songs had never been played live, but we did OK. Our singer was really brutal screaming, but unintelligible, and couldn't sing a note. The levels weren't great, but we had a full P.A. behind us. The last song the P.A. cut out so we went off amps, it was sort of an anticlimax to our best song. Broke up 7 months later because the drummer(who was pretty good, but an idiot) got bored and took the singer with him.
So I joined an even better band that should be gig worth in a few weeks! \m/ \m/ |

good times......
