your own random bands first random album

Sign in to disble this ad
ok, so here is the deal. try to do the following:

1
Go to wikipedia and hit random.
The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2
Go to quotationspage.com and hit random. The last four or five words
of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
3
Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven...... days”. Third picture ...no matter what it is, will be your album cover

and this is what i got:

Oh man those first two worked out perfectly, especially Stupidity... totally see myself as a teen punk with my headlights on a ramp in the middle of woods thinking "Go for it!" and being cynical about it.

Anyway:
Boşçalılar- a city in Azerbaijan
"The most savage controversies are those about matters as to which there is no good evidence either way."
Bertrand Russell
British author, mathematician, & philosopher (1872 - 1970)

The third picture was of a (too) young Chinese girl with strange markings on her face. Thankfully it was copyright protected... the second was a nice but generic scenic shot of a lake, so I went with the fourth, the crescent moon (actually in this case an Italian picture of an eclipse) fits perfectly with my Azeri death metal band. We've been driven underground in our home country, so kindly forgive the low res and ms paint.

Hilarious idea though, would love to see more.

Cabut Cove is a working class roots band from the South Sheltland Islands. Their 2011 album, "Day's Out and the Labor Done," (inspired by Elizabeth Barrett Browning's quote "Measure not the work until the day's out and the labor done.") follows up their critically acclaimed debut - "Long, Cold Nights, Warm Whisky and Women" - and includes such surefire hits as "Down Here in This God Forsaken Scientific Research Station at the End of the Earth" and "The Horses Froze to Death and the Drummer Cut One Up and Crawled Inside So As Not To Freeze to Death."

Meh.

Edit: Well I'm no good with the picture editing, but if you're too lazy to click on the pdf it's a nice picture of some horses drinking on the banks of what (coincidentally) is a cove, although a much lusher and greener cove than you'd find on some obscure island off Antarctica.

Like I said: Meh.

Julio, all the way from Belgium, coincidentally picked a picture of the first place I played in New York City - Cha Cha's, right on the Coney Island boardwalk. Talk about full of adventures and experiences, there were dudes walking around with live pythons and parrots and all kinds of freak show goodness as we played two nights there. Great time and great place, that sadly is being shut down along with some other Coney mainstays in the city's efforts to clean up, renovate and make more money down there....

At first I thought this was a stupid idea...but the end results are actually pretty badass. So, I figured I'd go for it.

/looks like a fun band.

The Harenna Shrew (Crocidura harenna) is a white-toothed shrew found only in one location in the Bale Mountains in southern Ethiopia. It occupies an area of less than 10 km² and is listed as a critically endangered species due to habitat loss and a restricted range.
