About bass...

Michael Moore's father was a guitarist, who came up with these observations:
1. "Bass is the only instrument you can buy in the morning and go out to work on that same day."
2. "Bassists get reputations for 'playing the right notes.' What were they supposed to be playing?"

This quote goes along with this old joke. A kid gets a bass for his birthday, with the agreement that he take lessons. He comes home from his first lesson and his dad asks him what he learned. He repliued that he was taught the first 4 notes on each string. The next week his dad comes in to give him money for his lesson, and he replies [insert drum roll here] "I can't make it, I have a gig."

Well, there are the right notes, and then there are the right notes.

Um, I'll let you know when I've figured out what they are.
