Whats an A-train ending. Ive heard some recordings of that song but cant remember any specific ending.

Is it maybe the common. 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 3 5 8 ending?

The standard duke ending:

8 3 4 #4 5 6 7 8 .. 1

There's no easy way to notate the timing in text, but it starts and ends on the 1 beat.

That's a funny list. I've been guilty of idly doing some fimk slaps before the first song, which is silly because I don't slap! And "Missing the root note at the end of a blistering fill"...well...

Now that I think about it, I play the last 8 on the & of 2 and the last 1 on the & of 4. If only I could hum it for you in text.

What's the fine for asking the band to try one of your tunes...
