How many horn-players does it take to change a lightbulb?

Trumpet: "Isn't that the drummer's job?"
Sax: "Thought it was the bass player's?"
Tpt: "yeah, prob is - you know I played with a bassist the other night who wanted a SOLO!? AND he played up high!?
Sax: "Didn't he know the bass only has a one & a half octave range???"
Tpt: "When will these people realise that if they don't play exactly like PC & Jimmy Cobb they're wrong!!??"

(Guess what kinda weekend I had )

As a trumpet player, I was expecting the answer to be something about them arguing how Miles would have done it.
