Its a cello.... its a violin... its a what??

Why do people think a bass is a big violin or a cello?? They dont even compare to each other. How do you get a violin the size of your arm, mixed up with a bass. Doesent everyone sort of know a bass is really really big and a cello is small????

WHY?!?!?!?!?!

That's the eternal question. I think there may be a secret Bassist Irritation Society out there, and they have monthly secret meetings, coming up with new ways to misidentify our instrument, and gradually drive us all nuts.

I've spent years working on my fake smile, to use in response to "nice cello".

Haha. I know every part to a normal bass, but since those special tuners are so rare on todays basses, they are hard to find the name of.

Arent they called french tuners or something?? Help me out here... hey at least I know they go on a bass. and its not a cello

Convenient place to hang your hat if you're thinking of sticking with double bass.

They're also really great for whacking your temple on when you forget they're up there.
