Keep on drumming joke

Once a researcher was assigned to a remote jungle village. On arrival he noticed he could hear drums playing off in the distance. Some hours later, he remarked the drum sounds were continuing.

"Drums stop, very very bad," the villagers told him.

When the researcher woke up the next morning, the drums were still playing. He inquired how they could possibly keep going all through the night.

"Drums stop, very very bad," was all the villagers could tell him.

After a few days the constant drumming was starting to drive the researcher crazy. He went to see the village chief and asked where all the racket was coming from, and why.

"Drums stop, very very bad," the chief told him and would say no more.

After two weeks of listening to non-stop drumming, the researcher was really losing it. He hadn't slept in days and could no longer do his work. His head was pounding and the throbbing sounds consumed his consciousness. He rushed in to the village chief and screamed "Make them stop!! You have to make it stop!!!"

Suddenly, the drums stopped. A silence immediately fell over the village. You could almost hear everyone gasp in unison.

"Drums stop, very very bad," cried the village chief. "NOW COME BASS SOLO!"
