Thumbs up PEE, Mike and the erhu......

This may be one of my strangest Threads.
A few weeks ago, my lady friend and I went out to hear and support our good buddy Michael Fitzmaurice in his attempt to pull off a solo gig at a pizza joint here in Arvada, Co.
Actually, he needed no help what so ever.....he was great.
He invited me up to play some bass while he sang, and played various other instruments. We had a swell time.
The only excuse I have for looking like a piece of old **** in the photo is that Michael's 7/8 Juzek (which I sold to him many years ago) had a string length of about 175 " and was strung with orchestral-type strings. I was totally out of what little "element" I have left.
To make matters even stranger, (besides the awful pizza) was when he pulled out his erhu and played a nice ballad. Phew. I been around the block, but this was a first fer yers truly.
He pissed me off later by playing some outrageous solo bass stuff. Really great.
I guess we gonna do a duo recording soon. Two basses plus all his other stuff.
He had a lot of nerve to do this gig, but to even think of doing a record with me is beyond nerve.

You're either frustrated by the 175" string length or getting ready for the bathroom. That's an 'interesting' look.
