I ordered one. I figured for $99 I can't go wrong. If I hate it I'll put it on craigslist for what I paid for it and move it on out.
Anyone else take the plunge?

Not a fan of WebOS, and already have a tablet that is serving me well enough. I had thought about getting the 32GB one for $149, but passed. If I thought someone was going to hack it for Android, I would've jumped on it.
@Tasty: everyone was blowing them out. Best Buy, CDW, Zones, HP themselves etc. HP wanted them dumped due to poor sales. |

Buggy webOS with zero support, apps, and updates doesn't sound appealing to me. Even for surfing the internet. |

Just no app/dev support, so it's likely going to die. Had very serious potential. The hardware for the TouchPad is great, too, and would run Android like a pro. |

Singing their PC market death song, and I'm fine with that. |

My reasoning:
So many people will have these now that apps and ports will show up in no time. Is there a tablet under $300 now that isnt some cheap chinese tablet with horrible screen and last generation hardware? I cant watch Hulu on a nook! Some people bought these at full price and loved them! I had been looking for a tablet, but I dont find iOS attractive, Android is fragmented and all the apps look terrible scaled for a big screen, but $100 tablet that was competing with both of these? People keep talking about support, but I dont understand. Support for what? Its not going to stop working because its discontinued. I still own and use a Nokia N810 internet tablet. It was made in 2006, but people still make applications and themes for it to this day and its still useful. It has flash player and android, ubuntu, and debian have been ported to it...
I dont have money for the 16GB though.
If I find out that I still have one on hold, ill sell it to someone for $160. Or you can buy a Nook | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
