My sister just turned it on in the other room when I was napping. I have now vacated, but I can still hear that garbage coming from the speakers.
There are so many kids that go on with otherwise decent voices, that completely butcher songs, changing them up so much that they do not even contain the melody anymore, that are praised. And that's only half of it. You (obviously) have to look good to be on this show, the judges even say so.
Also, almost everyone on the show adds pointless vibrato to every phrase they sing, overdoing it completely. Some of them even "make" their own vibrato. I know the point of the show is for amateurs to get on and be "successful" but it's kind of torturous to see the type of pop vocals the show presents being embraced.
My sister also thinks that the "bad" contestants don't know they're bad. Yeah right.
Any other haters on TB?
