I cannot help but find the vision of a cyclist smoking a cigarette utterly comical. This is Mario Cippolini.

This sort of combination also tickles me- $400 car, $4000 wheels- tell me I'm not alone.

Nacogdoches has a nice Mercedes E class driving around with some sort of hydraulic system that will stretch the car up about 10 feet. Total monster truck looking thing. Weird as hell seeing it around.

Anyone remember when it was "cool" to have really wide (but not tall) wheels on your car? Like, they had to stick out 4 inches past the fenders, and the tires had to be so small they barely fit on the rims? Back in the 80s, I guess it was. Mjor props to anyone who can find a picture.

Oh, and Mario Cipollini was the coolest of the cool. He probably had a bottle of champagne in his back pocket in that pic.

Super Mario can do whatever the hell he wants. He's Super Mario. He probably rolled your wife after he was done with that cig.

Is that why she shouts 'CIPPO!' at *those moments* now?

dunno, Tony- IME the trad latino lowriders always went w/the samllest available tires so I don't perceive the contrast here. I was always a bit confused by the skinny rubber on typically huge cars though- carry on.

It's a lowrider/Dayton thing that has infiltrated the rice boy community.

Other than the Cipo' picture, I think this is now the low-rider thread.

Here's me back in the olden days enjoying a cigarette while rock climbing. I've also smoked while riding a bicycle...unless you cup the cigarette between drags, you have to smoke really fast lest the wind smolder your cigarette away.

I like lowriders...

In my old neighborhood in Oregon we had a strange combination of Lowrider (lowered, wheel extenders, Latino) combined with Ricer (Japanese car, Type R stickers, ludicrous spoilers/wings, fart can exhaust systems).

Generally you'd see like a rusty, partially primer gray 1993 Honda Prelude - with a fart can, 3' high wing, wheel extenders with 15" gold wires, tinted windows, and a giant Virgin Mary decal across the back window.
