I'm guilty of using brackets when I should be using parentheses. The brackets are just easier to reach.

I wonder if I should be reaching out that extra inch for the sake of propriety? I also wonder if people on the internet look slightly down on bracket abusers like me?

Is there a time when bracket are appropriate?

Other than fixing quotes up or using them within parentheses, I don't think I ever use them.
