[Almost] Free Money! Free Beer!
 

Ive been buying Lotto Scratcher tickets every so often when I pop in the local liquor store for a 6-pack. I usually get the $2 Monopoly Scratcher, because the Indian lady who works at 7-11 told my Dad that her family wins quite often with those. In the last 2 weeks Ive won $10 twice. Paid for my 6pack.
Last night I bought a 6er of Sierra Nevada and a $2 ticket. I started scratching and "Oh, thats my number! $5!" And then "Thats my number! $5!" And again, and again. About the 6th or so number, I realized that all 10 spots were going to be winners. I won $48! Well, $50 minus my $2.

Whats the largest amount of money that you've ever won? And what did you have to do to win it?

Ive never been a big winner, but I did once win $260 playing craps at the Pala casino.

When the Powerball was up to 600 Million or whatever it was recently, I hit 4 numbers, but no Powerball. I started to get breathless for a second. But low and behold, I didn't hit the jackpot. I was 1 number from winning I think 1 million, and 2 numbers from becoming very, very wealthy.

But I did win $100.

I used to work in a gas station, and we would constantly win enough for our "extracurricular" needs.

I won $1500 with pull tabs at a bar once and I only bought $5 worth of pull tabs.

I won $38,000 in Vegas after putting $20 in a quarter slot machine.

I almost never gamble, but My wife and I were on a Cruise in 1987. Last night of the cruise we put 1 single quarter in a slot machine and hit $200.00

The lady behind us went nuts..."I've been playing that machine all week!"

I won $20 on a scratch off ticket. When I gave the ticket to the lady at the store she scanned it and came up as a $40 winner.

I often win playing pokers with friends or family, but we play for fun so it's always between 25 and 50$. I don't gamble other than that.

Ive won $60 playing poker with a bunch of people I didnt know. I dont think they liked me much, but they never gave me a chance.

I'm not a gambler, but one time I walked up to a roulette table in Vegas and put a chip on black 22 and it hit. Turned it in for $550.00 and spent the rest of the evening dining and drinking with my friend.

We don't give chances either haha, it's "serious" fun :p
