Except in Japan when they offer it, they add lettuce and have no pickles. And when you ask for pickles they say it's impossible :/

According to an article from Chicago magazine, which cites a 1995 article by Mandigo, "restructured meat product" contains a mixture of tripe, heart, and scalded stomach, which is then mixed with salt and water to extract proteins from the muscle. The proteins bind all the pork trimmings together so that it can be re-molded into any specific shape — in this case, a fake slab of ribs.
I had one about 15 years ago, and the chewy, rubbery, molluscy texture almost made me gag. No matter how much sugar you put in the barbeque sauce, there's no salvation. I've never had one since.

I just don't understand getting ribs from a fast food joint in the first place. If you want BBQ wouldn't you go to, or at least want to go to, an actual BBQ restaurant? To me getting BBQ from mcdonalds is like getting an instrument from walmart?

haha I know, just trying to draw a similarity between the cheap stuff Mcdonalds uses for their "ribs", and the cheap parts in department store instruments. Allow me to rephrase, if you want ribs, wouldn't you want actual ribs, not a cheap imitation?

I'm okay with those ingredients.

The video displaying the mistreatment of pigs was hard to watch.

Always hated McDonald's. Didn't think it was possible to hate them more than I did, but I was once again wrong.

all cows, chickens, pigs, and turkeys are mistreated. This is no exception. If you are appalled by that video, there are endless more all over the country.
