I also call BS until I actually see video of this thing hitting those speeds. I could say that my Mazda can hit 300mph, but if I can't prove it, then those claims are no good. I also can't see how a street legal car, from an unknown company can hit those speeds. The difference between 250mph and 300mph is much bigger than the difference between 0mph and 250mph. It isn't just a matter of strapping another 1000bhp onto a Veyron, there is so much aerodynamics that goes into a mere 5mph at that speed that expecting to add another 50mph is crazyness. Not to mention the flex that the car will have from having a removable top. Yes, it has a hardtop that you can put on. No, that will not make up for having a gaping hole above your head. It will have flex just taking off from a stop, I can't imagine what that will be like at 300mph with all the downforce required to keep the car from becoming airborn; not to mention what the wind resistance will do to it. I really will believe it when I see it.

lowsound | This is from the site:
"Will the street models go 300 mph?
Not if you are fond of staying alive! We recommend a ride height of one inch, a roll cage, 1000 pounds of forward ballast, land-speed tires, drag chute, and a smooth land-speed track or dry lake bed for any attempt to exceed 240 mph. Basically, if you want to go 300 mph, you should, at a minimum, purchase all the safety options for the Dagger GT-LS Landspeed model, so you can put them on your street model, for safety. There are some very good aerodynamic reasons the so-called supercars have not broken 300 mph. This is the danger zone and you must take precautions before attempting these speeds."

| | | | I remember Top Gear mentioning this. They listed all the specs for performance, and then they said that the numbers were actually GOALS.
So nothing they have on there is actually established yet. It does look kinda nice though.

Every other day, some start-up with a silly name comes along, promising a car which will be the fastest ever, be built from moon dust, solve world poverty and make contact with aliens. They release a lot of big numbers, some CGI pictures and maybe a car or two, then disappear. Just remember, ladies and gentlemen, that a 100-year-old company (which just went bust...) built a car that reaches 270mph without any of the fuss of these new, plastic, cars.

I would like to know, just from a traction perspective, what tires are available to even put that kind of power to the ground to get 1.2 sec 0-60 times.
