The 2007-2008 College Decision Result Thread

So I know there aren't a whole bunch of us high school seniors on here, but this is about the time early college admission results start coming in, so please share.

Basically I started this thread to state that I was just accepted to Northwestern University's class of 2012 and I couldn't be more excited and relieved.

Anyone else hear some good news?

In hindsight, this probably isn't that great of a thread. Sorry if I sound boastful or pretentious. I do not mean to. The euphoria of it all has gotten to me i guess.

nothing yet. but so far i only applied to two schools regular decision.
the stress of finishing everything is killing me though

edit: no shame in being admitted into a good school. congrats

I applied to a couple of UC's (University of California) regular decision.

Will bump this thread in March.

Just transferred into University of Houston-Clear Lake....wrapping up my associates degree at a community college this semester.

I figure I go to a cheap college for my undergrad, so that way I can avoid loans til I hit graduate school, where I'll go to a "good" school then.

congratulations man! i was in your shoes last year, its a MASSIVE jump from high school senior to a first year college student, the work load is insane.
but dont party TOO much and keep up on your work, you should be fine!

I graduated from a good community college here in middle Georgia and now I attend Georgia Southern University. I understand exactly how you feel. Good luck. Also, I just realized I haven't logged in in nine months...I feel ashamed!

Good. Only one murder this quarter (seriously).

The social life is actually pretty good, despite the reputation. We have a goodly amount of fun.

But seriously, enjoy going to a good school in a cool city (as far as cities go).

Bah I have no idea where I'm going and I'm in my last semester of my AA at community college. To brag for my friend though he went for an audition at Duquesne for jazz piano and on the spot they told him he was accepted and they would give him the biggest scholarship they have for music.

Students in these parts get our offers on Monday, very nerve racking. The course I want to get into underwent a major change this year so its impossible to tell whether my marks are good enough, my 2/3 preferences are almost certainly ok for me.

Why UC's? Do you not want an education?

I went to HS out there (Saugus High in the SCV) but I had to get the fudge out of SoCal as soon as I graduated.

I know a lot of smart folks who went to UC schools. Good luck. Which one is your favorite?

Congrats. You should be happy - terrific school and Chicago is a great city.

Its a perfectly good thread topic although 30 years too late for me.

My son has a few applications in but haven't heard anything yet.
