If you follow the auto rags, the Chrysler is slower and less "athletic" due to its size. If you want my opinion, the Camaro is ugly but probably going to be more reliable (although I think this last judgment should be taken with a grain of salt when discussing cars that are likley going to be flogged to within an inch on their life anyway).

I'm not even a Ford guy, but you might want to take a close look at the latest Mustang.

Over all opinions. I think the Charger is way better looking, just wondered what others thought.

Funny you mentioned the Mustang. I was never a Ford guy either but the Mustang is a great looking car too.

As part owner of GM I demand that they come up with something original next time. Of course rehashing a forty year old design is probably way cheaper than coming up with something original. If I wanted something like that, I'd go out and get an original. The challenger doesn't even look like they tried. I like it, but I prefer the '69 way better.

Somehow I think username's opinion is influenced by certain Micheal Bay movie that was recently released.

I believe the camaro shares the same chasy (sp?) of the monaro VXR wich is considered to be a very agile muscle car with proper handling so my vote goes for the camaro.

I actually got the chance to drive a Camaro SS(6.2L-426HP/420lb.-ft.) this week and the Hemi Challenger(6.1L-425HP/420lb.-ft.) a couple of weeks ago and The Camaro seemed to out handle the Challenger. Their engine specs are very similar, but the Camaro seemed to have a bit more torque and to be quicker in acceleration.

They're both great looking cars, but in terms of comfort and performance, the Camaro edges out the Challenger, IMO.

Although I think that Mopar did a nicer job looks wise, I'd take the Camaro in a heartbeat over the Challenger.

What I really wish is that GM would have retro'ed a second generation Camaro- either a 70-73 Rally Sport of a 78-81 Z-28.

I purposely left out the 74-77 big bumper cars.

That was my hope too. They took a beating from customers about the GTO so I think they decided to take the easy way out and copy the first generation Camaro.
