Not many games this week, few conference championships, should be fun!

Also, I saw this today.

For all the Boise haters, their SOS is higher than Oregon, TCU, and a slew of others.

If Oregon wins Saturday, I'm curious to see where Stanford will end up in a BCS bowl game. Would it be the Sugar Bowl if Auburn wins?

Oregon's SOS just keeps getting worse after they destroy everyone and their opponents go into the tank. Beating Oregon State this year ain't even a "quality win" really -- although it would be a big one for the Ducks of course.

Glad to see Auburn wearing the target this week. They deserve it, for sure.

Go for it, Mike! that will be a GREAT game this year!

And about the time you're leaving the stadium, I'll be entering Martin Field at WSU for the Apple Cup - the game which makes the rest of the year irrelevant, especially when two teams are as down as Washington State and Washington.

The game is at 4:00 Pacific - it was moved later than originally scheduled, and my guess is that it was done to provide TV coverage after the Oregon Civil War finishes.

The high for Pullman on Saturday is forecast at 31 degrees - which is an improvement over the previous forecast of 28. I'm guessing it will be in the low 20's by the end of the game.

Perfect setting for a Husky trap. Snow on the ground, freezing temps, so bring on da boys from Seattle!

After ONE conference win in the last two years, we Cougs are ready to beat the Huskies and go home a lot happier! I'm expecting a pretty even, competitive game, because both teams are weak. Although I wish Jake Locker no ill, as far as I'm concerned his ribs can take their time healing and he can sit out the game.

I haven't been to the Civil War since Kellen Clemens was the Oregon QB. I went down to go to the game a couple times since, but ended up watching it at a sports bar in Portland when we got tired of driving.

Although Cam Newton and Auburn are incredible, I think that South Carolina is starting to peak. I think they have actually accepted the idea that they are a good team and should win. I would not be surprised if USC beat the Tigers. I definitely think that South Carolina will not beat themselves like they did during the regular season.

The weather out there has been extra-insane recently, even more so in the Spokane area. I've worked around Pullman in the winter a bit, and as you know the driving can get pretty hairy. Be safe and have a blast!

Thanks, Charlie. I'll bet the temps are much more temperate in the gorge. Fantastic scenery, too!!

I grew up in Pullman, so I habla winter weather. My wife grew up on a farm near Colfax, so she's also comfy in winter weather. I can't say I'm looking forward to sitting around in 20 degree temps for three hours, but if it bothers the Huskies more than it does the Cougs, it's worth it.

And I get to bring back multiple cans of Cougar Gold!

From your lips to the Good Lord's ears, Doc.

I never thought I'd root for the "Ol' Ball Coach" but I will this weekend.

I do expect Auburn and Oregon to win and provide us with one HELL of a title game. My Frogs will be honored to go to our 1st Rose Bowl.

If not, we'll be happy to stand in......

I'm waiting for the Huskers and the Sooners to battle over who walks away with the final Big XII trophy. I told everybody from the start of the season to expect this classic matchup between the two kings of the old Big 8. It's only fitting that the Big XII finishes this way. I still haven't heard of any speculations of what the remaining Big XII schools plan to name their conference with Nebraska and Colorado leaving. Oh well, I'm a happy Husker fan come what may.

Yes, that game should be a dandy!

IMO the rivalry week in college football is the BEST of the season.

It's just beginning. Within 5 years I expect the PAC-12 to expand to 16, and other conferences to follow suit. I also predict that BYU will return to a conference at that time, because by then they'll realize that no one is interested in them as an independent.

Yeah. I have a feeling that there will be 4 or 5 "super" conferences before its finished. I just thought we were done hearing about it until next summer

I doubt it. I think the TCU move is evidence that many schools are sitting on negotiations and ideas about moves.

The Mountain West (which includes the university where I work) has gotten raided big-time.

For all the Boise haters, their SOS is higher than Oregon, TCU, and a slew of others.
Very interesting. There are 3 SEC teams in the top 14, and all their SOS's rank in the top 4 of the group. Huh.

I remember mentioning this as a rumor a month or so ago. Didn't think it would be happening so fast. Congrats to the Frogs!
