Why aren't the Vols ranked!?!?!?!?!? (Little absurdist humor there.)

They are. You just have to turn the BCS list upside down to see it.

Despite the Gators poor performance, we still control our own destiny to get to the SECCG.

I'm going to wait a few days to get a better feel for the game.

Mizzou at Nebraska should be interesting. Winner should play OU for the Big XII championship barring any major upsets.

Yea, I'd like to pick Mizzou, I really would, but I don't think that they'll be able to go into Lincoln and pull out the W. It'd be amazing if they did, and I think they can, but I don't think they will.

I always enjoy Mike Schlabach's column - http://espn.go.com/ncf/notebook/_/pa...mark107/week-7

IMO, the most impartial of the ESPN writers.

Players who take from agents could face fines.

What about the agents who are handing out the money to these normally broke college kids?

The story of paralyzed Rutgers player Eric LeGrand sucks, but this is cool: Nets contribute $75K to assist Rutgers lineman.

Yeah, this doesn't do much. The kids who know they'll be signing multi-million dollar contracts aren't worried about having to pay a 5-figure fine a couple years down the road when an agent is offering them money or gifts. Not sure this does anything. The NFL needs to punish the damn agents already. How frickin' hard is that?

Since Bama and LSU both have a Bye this week before playing next week, we can all talk about that game if you want!

OK, I'll bite! I'm no Duck fan, can't stand them and hoping for a Trojan win this Saturday, but I'm perplexed over the computers' ranking of Oregon:

Anderson & Hester 8
Richard Billingsley 6
Colley Matrix 10 (!)
Kenneth Massey 6
Jeff Sagarin 6
Peter Wolfe 11 (!!)

Average computer rank: 8

Not just Oregon, either. Alabama has an average rank of 12? Missouri 2?

The must-see for me this weekend:

Michigan State @ Iowa
Missouri @ Nebraska
Oregon @ USC

Will Boise State cover the 37 1/2 point spread vs. Louisiana Tech on Tuesday night? Why is Auburn only -7 @ Ole Miss? HOW is Florida +3 vs. Georgia?

The NFL doesn't give a damn about any integrity issues within the NCAA. Why should it? It's their minor leagues, without having to pay one red cent.

Vegas loves the home team and Auburn has not been as dominant on the road this year. Ole Miss has the personnel to play well against a dual threat QB. Their front 7 are big and fast. They'll bring blitz packages and rely on their linebackers to make stops when Cam scrambles, or force him to beat them with his arm. This is what everyone was expecting LSU to do. Still can't figure out why they hardly tried it at all. I don't think Ole Miss can pull of an upset, but they might make it scary.
