Now that is a great idea. I do need some wine gums, down to one roll.

Why do you say QMJHL backwards? I noticed that while watching the Super Series. It's Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, not League Hockey Junior Major Quebec.

I use the French abbreviation Ligue de Hockey junior majeur du Québec. A bit like NHL is LNH in French, Ligue National de Hockey.

If you ever do so, let me know, depending on the timing I might join you.

Yep, at least three college games per week on NBC Sports Network; many with Geoff Emerick. Keeps the wolves at bay, somewhat. I still wanna see Marshmont being a dink.

Hopefully the backup goalies played the next game. That would be some intense pressure building and building after each miss. Wow.

Max Domi....I wonder if any relation to Tie.

Ha! Those were the exact same thoughts I had when I read that. Extreme pressure-cooker for the goalies, and is Max related to Tie...

I heard on an NHL Network broadcast that Max is Tie's son. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree; however, Max has some skill.

Dartmouth wins again, 4-2 over Vermont! Ranked #10 now, and the #1 PK unit in the country. 30 straight PK's, only one PP goal allowed so far this season, in 13 games.

Next game isn't until 12/30 though. Bummer. Hopefully UNH stays at #1 until that game. It's going to be a fun one.

If the season ever does get underway, I can't see it topping last night's press conferences for entertainment value. Fehr was as smug as ever, and Bettman was coming out of his skin. He was freaking vibrating. Ive never seen him so upset. Funny stuff.

NHL rejected the NHLPA's offer, withdrew their own offer, and have no further plans to meet in the immediate future.

Bummer, UNH lost to BU Thursday night. UNH/Dartmouth will still be a good game at Dartmouth on the 30th though. #1 versus #10 if the rankings stay the same.

$12 per ticket for that game, over twice the usual. But there are two games on the 30th, so that's cool. That night, I'll probably exceed the $50 cap we never go over when I go to games with my family.

Jump on tsn's website and poke around. Im sure they'll have some good clips put up. Be warned though: both sides still claim they've moved on the issues and the other refuses to negotiate, so be careful if you have a low tolerance for stupidity.

While I have no idea who to believe at this point, I read a story today that bothered me. Ron Hainsey, Defenseman for Winnipeg who was among the players present for the meetings with the Owners, indicated that they had made substantial progress and wanted either the mediators or their counsel (Fehr) to come in to review the latest offer from the owners. Basically, the player's position was that they liked what they were hearing from discussions, but as players, they had no real business experience or legalese understanding. Understandably, they would seek a professional review of the terms before committing.

Apparently, the owners wanted the player reps to accept the deal without any external input. No mediators, no Fehr; just take what we are offering. If mediators or Fehr were to be brought back in the room, all would be lost and all deals would be off the table.

All I know is that it stinks like the worst pile of poo.

I can't find the full story I read, but the end of this story alludes to this:

Ron Hainsey should probably keep his trap shut. We paid that bozo 5 mil last year to do a puck bag impression. He represents everything that is wrong with hockey players' salaries.

Don't know if anyone has caught wind of this Fan Protest/Pledge.

Basically saying that for every game the NHL cancels as a result of the lockout; the pledges will boycott an equivalent number of games. No Tickets, No Television, No Merch.

I'm on board with that. Obviously I'm not gonna give up on the NHL when they do finally hit the ice. I don't really care who is in the right and who is in the wrong; I just want my hockey back.

That said I did catch a DEL game the other day. The team that Briere and Giroux went to go play for; Eisbären Berlin, although Giroux was out early in his season with a neck injury. Watching hockey in German is; weird.

Looks like we may lose a couple seasons at this point. If both sides are going to court, all hope appears lost.
