Today only, $99 DNA testing for health and ancestry at https://www.23andme.com/ in honor of DNA Day.

Normally this test costs $499. I just ordered my test kit. For the uninitiated, https://www.23andme.com/howitworks/

I was thinking how much it would cost to do that the other day. I saw it one a TV documentary or something and it looked quite interesting.

I'd like to find out what genetic markers I may have, like where my ancient ancestors came from and what not.

Maury Povich will do a paternity test for free if you appear on his show. I believe he will also fly you out to the studio, and maybe even put you up in a room for a night. Sounds much better than spending $100, plus you get to be on TV!

Wow, that's a really good deal - wish I could get that today. Unfortunately I can't even afford $99 for that today. I've always wanted to do something like that.

Bummer, I missed out. I'll have to wait until next year to find out if I am related to anyone famous from days gone by.

Sure you are, Mike - everybody is related to everybody else. It's just a question of how, and how closely.

So, I can say with confidence that I am related to Socrates, Alexander the Great, Napoleon, Queen Victoria, Ghandi, Mike Tyson, Jaco Pastorius and the Pope. And I didn't even need to pay for a DNA test!

I heard about this too late as well (they had a 5:00 pm cutoff or something). I would have done it for sure.
