I suspect it will be a much more satisfying viewing experience then the Lost finale. For one, there is a movie coming so Jack Bauer pretty much has to survive. It should be interesting. The shows had a good moments, a few moments where it almost jumped the shark, and some great plot twist. The writers have managed to extend some story lines for several seasons but have also killed off most of the cast. All in all it's been a good ride Jack Bauer.

Been watching since the first episode aired. It hasn't always been great, but I'm gonna miss the show

I started late on both 24 and Lost, but was able to catch up with DVD sets or Hulu.

I'm in the camp that thinks Jack should've died a long time ago.. like season 2 or 3, but I love the character, and will be watching either tonight or tomorrow, online.

Did anyone else think that Renee Walker was going to be Jack's replacement?

I watched seasons 1, 2 and 3 then it got a bit samy. LOst I gave it 5 episodes until a polar bear turned up and I called it quits. Certainly by the third season they were taking huge liberties with the whole 24 hours concept as they were driving distances you could never cover in the time shown!

That doesn't mean they can't leave us hanging. I'm sure there will be some kind of final twist.

They managed to keep us in suspense until the last minute, as usual. Excellent last show that tied up the season, left some lose ends hanging for the movie and maintained the tradition of strong writing. I liked the predator drone card at the end. I don't think they've used that one before. And President Logan didn't disappoint as the ultimate weasel. I still think Dennis Hasbart as President Palmer was the most convincing President ever in a TV series. I think when you consider the length of time and nature of terrorist threats they really had run their course. How many more types and sources of terrorist threats can you have? They were in danger of repeating themselves (which they already had in some sense). That's going to be one long movie though.
