As a longtime fan of home theater, I just can't get past the 30 McIntosh amps ! More power to the guy, and I don't mean A/C service

That seems like a waste of money to me.

What's the point of a "Sony ultra-high-resolution (4,096-by-2,160) SRX-S110 digital projector" when the best resolution you are going to get from BD is 1920x1080? You can't get source footage high enough for that unless you shoot it yourself on something like the RED ONE.

cryogenically treated circuit breakers

I'd love to hear it though. I bet it sounds amazing. Generally I don't buy into a lot of of the audiophile BS, audiophile grade wiring blah blah, but this system probably does sound fantastic

That system must sound massive.

As a matter of fact, I bet starving people all over the world will be able to hear every cent of the 6 million dollars spent and think to themselves...."I wish I could eat today."

I see in your profile it says you have a custom build under way. I'm sure all the starving people all over the world will be able to hear you play that too.

Yes, the custom build that I'm building in my basement. I'm way too cheap to drop serious coin on a fancy bass.

I'm all for enjoying the fruits of ones labor. Capitalism rocks socks, I love it.

I'm just saying that if I had a choice to either spend 6 million on entertainment or spend it on helping people out, I'd go for the later.

I could go on but it would be a complete thread derailment

After further looking around that site I'm having serious home theatre gas.

How do you know how much this person does or doesn't give to charity? Should people who make lots of money have to give away everything they make above the poverty line?

Anyway, I saw this setup in Home Theater magazine a couple of months back. It looks to me to be a showcase for expensive equipment and not a livable home theater.

How do you know he doesn't? Most rich people I know give a lot of money to philanthropic causes.
