Val Kilmer is way better equipped than Batman! He was Jim Morrison AND travelled 4 days into the past! Not to mention he saved the Presidents daughter from being sold into sexual slavery...

...he also told me he'd be your huckleberry...

...on the original post/story...sad, but not surprising, and it isn't new, it's just news NOW because of the events of the past 5 years there. I always avoided the bigger parades when I grew up there, too many stupid drunk idiots, doing too much stupid drunk idiot stuff. Interestingly, MOST of the worst offenders weren't "natives"....

Ughh Between the flood and now this, they really should just get rid of that place. If you live there, move.

So easy to look in from the outside and just dismiss the city, isn't it?

Look man, there are idiots everywhere, just add alcohol, y'know.

As for "getting rid of the place", you do realize the importance of the Port of New Orleans to the economy of the entire United States of America, don't you?

No, you don't do you.

...want to talk about the history of the city?

...what it has done for music, or is that not important to you, being as you're on a forum for bassists?

Before you open your mouth, you should really edit what you say, as a very well-known truth will apply:

"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."

Man, that sucks. I wonder why those guys started shooting? Just drunk and stupid, or trying to take out some frustration?

Dude....

A) Learn to be more clear when being a smart@$$.

B) I wasn't "feeding trolls", just smacking down what appeared to be an utterly ill informed individual that needed a reality check.

The term is actually "Huckle-bearer". They screwed it up in the movie(go figure....) Meanwhile, the shooting sucks. Firearms+alchohol generally = disaster.

Sad story, but also a poor piece of journalism in a number of ways.

But most interesting to me is that the writer goes out of his way to state that one of the two women (without saying which ?!) was an innocent bystander, but fails to label the one-year-old similarly.

Perhaps because it's an obvious fact. Or MAYBE because the one year old wasn't an innocent bystander but was strapped and gang bangin' and deserved what was coming to him.

A disgraced baby fighter who turned to violence outside the cage when his career fell apart? Perhaps.
