It's pretty cool. I think the F-35 helmet is cooler though.

It'd be even cooler if it were an actual photograph instead of a cartoon.

I know ... and the only reason I'm still in town - that darn thing hasn't flown yet

until it flies I get to bounce back/forth like a ping pong ball. once it flies I'm free to head East and stop my air travel madness

all the best,

R

Meh, the A380 is cooler. But I like the huge displays in the Dreamliner cockpit.

worked on both of them ... and have to disagree.

the 380 is just a bigger version of the 747 - nothing ground breaking in design ideas except something Boeing considered years ago (stretch the upper deck the entire length)

the 787 has a completely new approach to commercial aircraft design - all composite fuselage and wings! sure the 380 has a significant number of composite panels, but EADS was whining about the safety hazards of an all composite aircraft structure ... until they decided to introduce the 350 ... err ... 350xwb

don't get me confused as a Boeing bigot - I am not. I clearly prefer the 330 over the 777 from an interior design aspect ... but the 330 (and 340) are slower at cruise altitude than the 777, so you have to give the airframe design to Boeing

innovation = clearly Boeing is the winner

reworking tested ideas to build cheaper = EADS a neck in front of Boeing

all the best,

R

The best line I've heard is:

"Airbus is designed by idiots and needs to be flown by genius's. Boeing's are designed by genius's, to be flown by idiots.

Both make excellent product.

I wasn't saying the A380 is more advanced, I just like the look of the cockpit more.
I love the "swamped in controls" look. The old 747-200 cockpits are wicked.

The Dreamliner cockpit looks too much like some futuristic space craft to me.
