AARGH, here we go !!!

I guess y'all heard me talk about how much I love my Toyota X-Runner, how I keep it perfectly clean, maintain it, etc.
Well, I take my Son to DQ tonight for dinner.

I seldom drive it, but ah..why not...were going somewhere.

I come out & what do I see !?!?!?

Someone had put 6 side by side (close together) deep scratches in the bottom part of the front plastic air-dam !!!!

It will need re-shot with the correct factory paint.

Heres what angers me: The person who accidentally scratched it should have at least left me a note or offered to have their insurance pay for it.
No, I am not naive...I realize people are sometimes dirt-bags.

If I scratch your car, I go in & find you....tell you it was an accident and how can we resolve this !!!

Not slither away like a little coward.

You know, if they were broke or whatever, I would have been happy to work with them in time to resolve the problem.

I don't get all mad or clock someone for having an accident. That is what we have insurance for!!!

Now, I have to dig into my own pocket for this.
I have excellent insurance, but believe me...for something this s,mall...you're much better off to pay for it yourself.

"Accident Forgiveness" HA HA HA...yeah right. Even my insurance lady told me I would be better off in the long run to pay the $300 or whatever it will cost.
I've known her personally for a long time and she's a straight shooter with me.

I'm just really angry & disappointed someone left me hanging on this.

Most people are cool. A few people are jerkwads. The cool people usually don't get noticed because they aren't talking on the phone in the movie theater or letting their dog crap on your lawn or putting scratches in your car and slinking away like cowards. The jerkwads get noticed . . . because they are doing that stuff.

I live in an area where I can't have a nice car with a clean paint job or have a nice stereo. There's jerkwads everywhere just waiting behind the bushes to bust in the windows, steal me blind and ding up my car on the way out just for the fun of it.

But you have my sympathy.

That sucks! I feel your pain

Awhile back I found a note on my car claiming responsibility for denting my left fender. The girl apologized and left her name and number. I was impressed with her honesty until I called the number :/ Her voicemail's outgoing message matched the name on the note, but after leaving MANY messages, she NEVER called me back!

Aaarrrggghhh!!!!!
