STILL ALIVE!

with the constant stream of celebrity deaths as of late i think its fun to just sit back and think that no matter how many terrible losses we experience in the entertainment world that Abe Vigoda is alive and well. book mark the website for a constant "silver lining" in the cloud of celebrity mortality.

Just caught a few episodes of Barney Miller recently. 'Fish' could say one or two words and make me laugh, just in the way he says them.

He used to show up on Conan's late night once in awhile.

I remember him best for his role in Look Who's Talking. That was way back in 1989, when he was a young man. Abe Vigoda is legendary, no doubt about that.

Here's a fun fact for ya: He played a role in the 1995 film entitled Jury Duty; he played Judge Powell. In 1998, Vigoda played Albert Spokaine in one episode of "Promised Land". The episode was called Jury Duty. Perhaps even more interesting is that nobody has ever heard of, or seen, that show.

His spots on Conan were always hilarious and he was great on Barney Miller.

Ever seen the Barney Miller where they all accidentally ate the hash-laced brownies? All the characters are pretty stoned except for Fish.

At the end ,when they find out the brownies were laced,Fish laments " That's the best I've felt in 20 years and it's got to be illegal."

Wow,he'll be 89 at the end of February!
