Does anybody here have an Acer Aspire One? http://www.officedepot.com/a/product...AOA150-1570-8/
My father picked me up one because it was only $350...
I was a little bugged that there was no firewire on it. (i record via firewire) But then again, i dont think that i would want to record on this computer anyways.
I think that i am going to keep it right by the couch in my living room, so that i can browse the internet and such while relaxing on the couch.
Any thoughts? |

I'd go for it.

My advice is to install Firefox 3 as your browser. It can scale pages in and out which really makes the most of the small screens on a Netbook. Enjoy!

Tip: if you need a bag, it fits exactly into one of those padded satchels table tennis players use to carry their paddles in.

Dang, otherwise I'd buy one

| Mine came with a little slip cover thing that i think should do the job. I guess that i wont even need it because its just for around the house. |

After a couple months of being paperless at my workplace, I keep wanting a smaller and smaller notebook PC. |

It ups the processor to a 2.0 dual core and ups the RAM to 2G for only $170 more.
Plus it gives you a 14.1 screen and a DVD burner. I have one of these and it pretty much rocks, I use Reason, Ableton Live, and Sibelius with no problems and get decent internet speeds from tethering my Sprint phone.

I am amazed that technology can be this affordable. Even 5 years ago, such a price range would have been impossible. |

It's the one running XP off a 120Gb HD. Boots up in about 30 secs. I'm not going to overload it with software, but it's great for writing and staying connected while on the road, and small enough to carry anywhere.
