Is it me or are there alot more of these ads with obnoxious sounds, even on talkbass. I accept that ads are a part of doing business but some of the sounds that these ads make are so offensive that I immediately close the page. If I get one more offer for a free Ipod nano I going to..... do absolutely nothing and get even more pissed. There is also an ad that makes a pinging sound that makes me sick if I listen to it long enough.

Or even worse, ads that you some how activate and cover the entire screen, or just covers whatever it was you were going to do, like logging into Myspace. And of course the X button is nearly invisible, and clicking it doesn't work and instead takes you to whatever website it's linked to.

I get a little message that alerts of pop ups that is clickable to allow any of them that you do want. Opera also allows you to allow pop ups from specific pages in case they are needed.

2) Get the Adblock Plus add-on
3) Sit back and enjoy not seeing adverts on websites!
Works for me. I had quite a shock the other day when I logged onto TB at my gf's flat and saw adverts! Seriously - it is great. Pages load faster, and you don't get annoying adverts!
Please note that I am not in any way affiliated with Adblock Plus. I'm just a happy user!
