I gotta be honest and say the concept is way, way better than the actual show. When I saw the box at the vid store I flipped and said "OMGZORZ it's Samuel L. Jackson as a blaxploitation samurai!!!!" ...But after the first five minutes or so of watching it I was bored out of my skull.

Loved the series, haven't seen the film. It's even better when you're um... yeah. 'Nuff said.

Hit or miss, but I really like it. Ninja Ninja cracks me up. It's like Kung Fu (Carradine's show) meets Shaft. Badasss.

I enjoyed it. Really cool fusions of very high tech and very low tech, graphic brutality and beautiful artwork, and brazen stereotypes and unique characters. And yeah, Ninja Ninja is a hoot.

Watched the 1st 2 TV episodes.

I must humbly disagree with bongomania. The show is awesome. I love how Ninja Ninja is totally done as a hidden personality of Afro

What it is, what it is, what it is?

Afro Samurai is one of the few 'anime' type shows that kept my attention. I have the series on my HDD and have watched it through more than a few times. I haven't seen the movie, nor have I played the game, but only because I haven't gotten around to it.
