I like lagers and for my money there's nothing better than a good helles or pilsener on a hot day but I drink ales a lot more often with porter being my favorite style.

Mike | Ale, 6 years in England one in Germany ruined me for American beer. My usual is Deschutes Mirror Pond, but I like IPAs, Porters and Stouts too.

Lager takes considerably longer to make. For me, just knowing that
they took the time and resources (=$) to make it always give lager the
edge.
