Ok, I've seen these lists and books around for a long time. All I need to know, I learned from a cow, my cat, in Kindergarten, from Star Trek...whatever!

We have all learned so much from TalkBass, that I think it is time to compile some of this wisdom that is so freely dispensed, distributed, and disseminated amongst us free of charge and often free of even being asked for.

What pearls of wisdom have you learned from TalkBass?

If I may, I would like to start:

Just when you think you know all the answers, Major Metal has another question.

In life, there are those who can blatantly ignore and break the rules without consequence merely because of their so called "power." Also, those people do not like it when there so-called subordinates engage in the same behavior.

Depending on whether it is life or TB...

If you write a paper about it in college, you are the authority of the topic. Despite what others with more first hand experience have to say.

Nothing unifies the members here like the hate of a product and the chance to assert their superiority through purchasing.

Entertaining six people is harder (but more rewarding) than generic humor.

If someone hasn't gotten something by the second pass, explanation will be as futile as a debate with a bag of hammers.

Even morf will drop a nugget of wisdom...and it's the post above me.

You mean that Americans will always get furiously owned by the frenchman in any battle of wits?

Yes, I concur.
