Alverez Guitars

I just bought an Alverez guitar and am impressed with it's playability, fit and finish. The top is cedar and the neck is mahogany. The guitar cost me $268 which I think is a bargain. I play bass but play guitar during my private moments and this plays better than the Martin that I used to have. How long has this guitar been around?

Hi.

Yep, Alvarez.

I have no experience of the Alvarez line, but I have A K.Yairi DY91.

Yairi is after all the brand You're talking about?

Great instruments, but virtually unknown over here. The rumour has it that they suffered from the same problems as Taylors, the tops cracked in our difficult environment. For the K.Yairi I have to agree, mine has a (repaired) crack on the top, but neither of my Taylors have suffered such a fate.

Regards
Sam
