There are a few places in the world where this is possible. This particular spot has always had an allure to me, because it's in the middle of a fairly populated area and has easy access. Looks really fun. Anyone done this? http://s0006.photobucket.com/albums/...ichSurfers.flv |

So who has a local river with a wave in it? There are none around here.

It helps to have a rope to help you get into position!! I can't surf very well so I never managed to stay up very long |

I think that might be the shape of it, as I have seen a few different shapes. The closest I have gotten to doing it is sitting in one and doing 180s on dry land.

I've done some whitewater rafting, but that was with a guide and other people in an inflatable raft. Those people were my mom and dad, and my sister. We were cruising class 4 rapids down the American river, and all I could think was how cool it would be to do them by myself in a kayak. |

Planed on doing it this summer, but it just didn't work out.

I've never surfed it, but I have gone wake boarding on it while holding a rope that was tied to a tree. I found out the hard way that the river at that point is only about 5 ft deep.
