So there's this new supermarket around here, not sure if it's a national chain or not, but it's called Fresh and Easy. It's a weird store. It kind of reminds me of what I imagine to be a socialist version of the supermarket. It seems like all the food is from somewhere else, but yet there are common name brands like Diet Coke and stuff. There are some pretty good deals on food, but there's this weird vibe about the place. There are no cashiers, only self serve stations, but that doesn't really bother me. It's just... well... creepy. Am I the only one that feels this way about the place? |

Is it like an end of the line grocery store, where they sell stuff at discount because it is almost expired or dented? |

Honestly I've never heard of Fresh and Easy. Maybe it's the name that gives you the creeps? It def describes some gals we've all known I'm sure

This is just, well kind of like an Eastern European bloc type of place. Website is totally different than the experience. Here's their site. http://www.freshandeasy.com
Here's a pic.
This pic is a lot warmer than the experience. Has anyone seen the movie Wristcutters? It takes place in a kind of purgatory world where everything is kind of bland and grey. The food. The places they visit. It's kind of like that.

| Yeah, Wegmans is cool if you need a loaf of bread and lunch or if you are rich...in which case you would be shopping at whole foods anyway.
Lol this girl I went to HS with used to wear a McDonalds sticker on her ID card that said "Hot and Fresh Just For You" I still snicker...I shoulda hit that. |
