uses punctuation and corrects it when texting? I was just sending a text and found myself checking to make sure everything was puntually correct. Does that make me obsessive or something?

Yes it does, plus it makes you a bit sillly, as you will get more words in using less punctuation and proper words, but obviously this doesn't count for capitals.

I do it as well, and I don't abbreviate or anything in text messages either.

I try to do it, but when I'm sending a text to a non-Verizon person and it's more than 160 characters I will make it shorter by leaving out words/punctuation/make abbreviations.

Then there are times I'm just flat lazy.

Lately, I've taken to using the "Word" function on my phone's front keypad, even though I have a full QWERTY setup.

I use proper punctuation.
The only slang I use is lol, or "watcha" as in "watcha doing tonight?"

Other than that it's all grammatically correct.

I can't stand the improper punctuation that's becoming common in today's language. I blame it almost entirely on the advent of e-mail, instant messengers, and text messaging. The speed of communication is destroying the language of communication, and it breaks my soul a little.

I too, use correct punctuation when texting. If I don't it annoys me until correct it and resend the text. That goes for spelling errors too.

I use proper punctuation and spelling when I text, but I don't worry too much about getting the capitolization right. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Are you sure you don't mean capitalization?

Thank god! I feel the same. Sometimes I take the odd shortcut but not usually. I guess I don't need psychiatric help.

FL Knifemaker don't do text. I have all I can do to figure out my XM and my wife's nav system If someone wants to get me on my cell, they need to call IMHO, texting is like taking a step backwards in technology. I mean what's next, texting in Morse code?? Actually, that would make more sense and be faster as well.

I used to, now I don't care. I'm just stoked I'm sending it to the right person. Learnt that lesson the hard way. I'm not a proud man.
