I never knew such a creature existed until my wife and I watched an Animal Planet documentary yesterday. It can mimic just about any sound it hears. Unbelievable!
Australia sure has some incredible wildlife! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjE0K...eature=related

It was done about ten years ago. There is some stunning photography in that series. Too bad the video quality is not HD, as it suffers when played on the big screen TV.

If that thing cranked out the Seinfeld theme, then I'd be REALLY impressed.

They've been failing miserably for a week in such a way that my kids are wondering why I don't help them. I'll be starting a thread about them later...watch for it!

She absolutely fooled my dad once. She started to imitate the ring, and my dad picked up the phone! The expression on his face was priceless!!!!!

Mike | Are you sure they're not doves masquerading as blue birds????? Doves are not the brightest birds on the avian block. We have a pair in our neighborhood that try, and fail, to build a nest in the exact same spot every freaking year. It's the light fixture above our garage, and it's too damned small! Yet, every year, the female sits there as the male brings the twigs. He tries to stuff them under her, but there just isn't enough room for the twigs to balance. Sure enough, after a day or two, there is a huge pile of twigs on the ground. And you would think they would try to re-use the old ones.... But no, he goes off and gets more.
