"Amazon Women On The Moon" - who here knows this movie? Who actually OWNS it?!

(*raises hand*) Yes, I own a copy!

I brought up this movie in the Song Uno thread this morning and found one person who knew about it. I remember this running on cable about 20 years ago, but only late night on the weekends so the only people who saw it were out late, came home drunk, and would watch anything. I must have watched it 100 times that way (I was a lot younger back then).

I still have a VHS copy that I got as a gag gift on my 30th birthday and last night I set up my VCR again just so I could watch it. It was so bad it was hilarious ("Carrie Fischer's character saying "...and that was my first experience with New York intellectuals". )

Speaking of cult movies, it reminds me of Killer Klowns From Outer Space, which ran at the same time in the same time slots so I often watched both on the same nights. That one was so bad it went past hilarious and actually made it full circle back to bad again. Never stopped me from watching it, though.

I've seen it a dozen times- it's great; one of the best comedies from the 80s. I still haven't convinced my wife to watch it- I gave up on that years ago.

My wife watched it with my once after I got it and she barely cracked a smile. I found almost as much humor in that as I did in the movie itself.

There were an amazing number of "big names" in that movie.

isn't that the movie the director threw together to raise money for his legal defense after that star and two kids were killed in the filming of the twilight zone movie? and many of the stars in the 'amazon...' movie contributed their services to help him out?

or am i making all this up? i dunno...later, ron
