Coming soon (to the UK) on FX. Any heads up? Worth watching or one to avoid? |

It is a very adult show that is more creepy with a psychological aspect that makes it hard to tell reality from what is in character's minds. It is a very Los Angeles show and there are references to LA murders like the death of Sal Mineo and the Black Dahlia.

And who does the soundtrack? |

Speaking of "understanding" the show, good luck! Part of the addiction I currently have to the show is uncovering different plot devices, trying to piece the story together and deciphering what is real from what isn't.
I definitely recommend it. I believe a guy who used to do keyboard/programming for Nine Inch Nails did the theme, so you'll recognize that. On their website they post what songs they use in their episodes as well. |

Overall I really enjoy it. Just expect to be occasionally confused.

I'm not going to lie from how "hard" FX was pushing the advertisements and promotions of this show I thought it was going to flop hard. I saw no redeeming qualities of the trailers and ads- yet I still gave it a chance and have been pleasantly surprised. |

They've cancelled numerous shows after the first season for lack of ratings, but how can you blame viewers when they have no idea what a show is about based off of the ads.
There's been a couple shows I started to get into on FX ( see Terriers/Lights Out/The Riches), but due to lack of ratings FX had to pull the plug. I wonder who is to blame, because I know a decent amount of fans enjoyed those shows.
Luckily I have heard that American Horror Story is only meant to be one season, so it may avoid any intervention regardless of how it performs. |

The Shield is still my favorite television series ever.
Everything on the local cable channels has their high points but they usually feel like they are missing elements. The cursing, nudity, and violence definitely add to a lot of the series on FX IMO. |

I do agree that FX needs to do a better job of promoting their original shows. I liked Terriers as well, but I’m sure that people would watch it if they had any idea of what it was about. American Horror Story is the same way, watching the previews you have no idea what it is about. Though if you watched Nip/Tuck, you had an idea that it would be twisted.

I prefer the suspense over all of the characters. Like the little girl who keeps telling everybody their gonna die. That character is a good one but, you have to admit that a character like that is played out all too often in movies. The killer boyfriend getting psychiatric therapy from the dad is athe only reason I keep watching. I'll admit I do like it but, like is far from loving it. I think the only episode I liked so far was the cult episode with the people trying to replicate the murder.
I hated the first episode which usually to me means I don't like it but, the boyfriend guy has grown on me so did the old guy the father always sees at seemingly uncomfortable moments. Like when the dad was pleasuring himself in the kitchen. (Which was gross by the way and I laugh at the SAW beartrap moments).
