I'm not a fan of hers, but it is sad to see her come very close to losing it all over crack.

Yeah, I heard about that last night...crazy sad. I mean really.

I feel for her as a fan, but on the whole I just want to throttle her with tough love to straigten her out.

She has many problems. I hate to be a harbinger of bad news, don't expect to see her live to Sept. if she keeps it up.

That's my sad celebrity prediction.

I hope she cleans up and makes it through this. It'd be good to hear more music from her, 'cause when she does it right, I always thought it was pretty dern good.

Self inflicted wounds don't elicit any sympathy from me.

bet she can sing better now.

sorry, but i think her singing is awful - she basically won the lottery, because she surely didn't -earn- her noteriety (she can hardly hold a tune), and squandered it on crack. now her health is failing because of a self-inflicted deathwish? no sympathy. the price of hubris.

I quite like her vocals. Definitely a throw back to motown-ish stuff.

Shame about the crack though...

Watching my mother-in-law die due to a life-time of smoking was very hard. She was 71 when she finally passed on.

It is astounding that Ms. Winehouse has succeeded in doing to herself in a matter of a few years what it took my mom-in-law a lifetime to accomplish.

She should be very proud of herself.

I guess if there is a bright side, it's that she won't be leaving any kids behind when she inevitably self-destructs...

I hope she fixes her head before it's too late. I feel for her folks.

I second this one. I haven't seen a live performance of hers where her voice is even close to the record. Not to mention she is completely cracked-out at every performance as well. Good riddance, you did this to yourself.

I enjoy listening to her singing (at least the recorded stuff), but have never been able to bring myself to actually purchase any of her material simply due to the fact that she's making such a mess of herself. What a shame.

I agree, my family is riddled with hereditary problems, life is complicated enough without becoming self destructive, I have no sympathy for her either. She could have had it all, and decides to squander it all, such a waste.

And I concur with fenderhutz, she'll be lucky to see the next year IMO

There comes a time when people are beyond help, she has had more than enough chances.

It's just my personal view, that if you don't show sympathy you don't deserve to recieve it.

It's all too easy to sit behind your keyboard and judge.

I couldnt place it as being as black and white as that, suggesting that everyone deserves sympathy would be wrong (IMO of course).

You left out the self-inflicted part there chief. At least take my entire statement into consideration and not utilize what worked well for your judgment, while disregarding the rest, mmmkay?

She is a drug addicted loser. She hits it big in the music industry and she wants to blow lines and smoke crack...A-hole.

I hope she gets help....she is sick in the head, mostly.
