Andy Dick's antisemitic rant at Howard Stern - Entertainment - The Arts - TODAY.com
This is interesting. Apparently Andy Dick said some possibly career ending Anti-Semitic things about Howard Stern. The funny thing is that Stern seems to have really been offended and hurt. By no means am I making light of Anti-Semitism, but given that Stern makes a good part of his living saying really vile things about people (the little I have listened to him, he casually said things about African Americans I found very offensive,) I am shocked that he would be hurt by a few slurs, especially from a man who most in showbiz consider a loser.

He's always been a very entertaining guest on Stern's show. I bet Howard is more upset that Andy exhibited this kind of sentiment toward him when Howard was one of the only people around that continued to have him on their show. I bet its more about the strain on their relationship than the actual remarks. Just my take as a long time fan of Stern. |

*Talk Radio was a movie starring Eric Bogosian.

For a guy who claims to pull no punches, he sure is whiny. Especially with his staff--I had zero interest in hearing him bitch them out or complain that his egg white omelette hadn't been delivered yet. Or how he and his girlfriend had to wait for their table despite having a reservation. If the whole show was interviews, musical performances and some comedy bits, it would be much better. The in-house stuff is boring.

Just him, Fred, Robin, and Jackie/Artie/? would make it a kick ass show. The stuff with Sal, some of the extended whack pack stuff is just meh, and I'm back to listening to music. |

-Mike | I've had Sirius for a couple years now and I find I go through stern spurts. Jason Ellis too. But mostly I'm just driving around listening to mixes I've made and taking mental notes on any changes. Lately, with the credit ceiling, Europe, riots, uprisings, the political environment, and what not, I've been on a NPR and KPCC (not sure what that equates to for people in other parts of the country, but that's what it is here in LA), and a KPFK kick. But with that said, I find that I agree with that statement. Even with all the commercials before, there was a good tension going. I used to sit and park because I was getting distracted on occasion listening while driving. But with Sirius there are a fewer gems. |

To me, Stern is just one of the many who love to wave their "It is all about free-speech" flag.
To me free-speech is all about the right to point out oppression and injustice without being retaliated against.
But it seems to me guys like Stern use that mantra to justify saying the F word anywhere, anyhow they want.
To me that is not freedom of speech.
Stern is just an idiot. |

So why doesn't the King of All Media use his position to retaliate and absolutely humiliate Andy Dick? |
