I know, all you guys up north are laughing at us but here in the Northern Virginia area this has been the coldest worst winter I can remember. We are to get ANOTHER 16-24 inches of snow this weekend. No global warming here.
That is all.

As a fellow Virginia dweller, I sympathize.

That said, suck it up. We never get a proper snow around here. Take advantage of it!

It's been cold up here in NH, but surprisingly not a lot of snow, it's all been going South of us to you guys

We've only had 50+ inches of snow, which is below average. I'd actually like some more for skiing

I have shoveled snow twice this winter. Both times, only a few inches. I am LOVING this winter

Seems like this is reverse winter - everyone south of Canada is getting dumped on

It takes a lot of energy to push that big of a storm that far south for so long. Energy = heat. That IS global warming. Expect more extremes both hot and cold (and severe).

Yes exactly. How can people not believe in global warming? Here are a few reasons why I believe in it. 1) The earth is on a natural coarse closer to the sun. 2) More people creating more heat. 3) More blacktop/roads insulating the earth's core.

I also believe in some sort of natural cycle. Like Ice Ages and the opposite being a heat wave.

We're just losing the multiple inches of ice packed down from earlier shows in Colorado - but it does get to be a pain after a while. Hang in there and it won't last much longer.

Nice perspective, too - people tend to miss the part of climate change that says "expect more EXTREMES, both hot and cold".

We got almost two feet on the first storm. I have video of my 6 year old sledding off my friends roof, through the air, and onto a giant snow mound/ramp we made with a Bobcat. I need a still shot for a parenting fail picture.

BRING IT!!!!

WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW WITH NEAR-BLIZZARD CONDITIONS... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM FRIDAY TO 10 PM EST SATURDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT. * PRECIPITATION TYPE... HEAVY SNOW.
* ACCUMULATIONS... STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 16 TO 24 INCHES.

THIS STORM HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE SIMILAR TO THE 19 DECEMBER STORM. PLAN FOR SUBSTANTIAL DISRUPTIONS TO TRAVEL FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE FRIDAY NIGHT.

We had snow here in California too. Right on the beach. Pretty weird. Walking to go surf with snow on the ground.

Check it out.

Shoveling 24 inches of snow is great for your back

Up here in Maine, we had a HUGE wind/rainstorm 2 weeks ago and it took all our snow away

We haven't had much snow since December. Just a few inches here and there. There's nothing on the ground right now. It's gotten colder than a witches protuberances, though.

Looks like I should go get some gas for the snow-blower.

This has been one of the mildest winters I can remember. Only two major snowfalls as well - peanuts really.
