The muscular prose recalls that of Hemmingway, but to get the full effect you have to imagine it being read by Lou Diamond Phillips.

Sorry. I've been out of town and turning the "lazy river" at a scenic San Antonio hotel into a "nearly unconscious drunken river". I few kids poked me with sticks and told their parents I was dead, but the place still managed to bill the piss out of me.

We should have threads like this more often. I've long thought that most of my TB contributions should be collected, categorized, leather-bound and sold to fund my purchase of the completely unused advertising space on the surface of the moon.

I sold mine. A copy of the bill of sale can be found on this website if someone were enterprising enough. It was quite fetching, but super-elite modes of transportation afficianados like myself are always looking for something else.
