Any here have a daschaund?

So, I have a mini, long-hair and I have two questions for any of you folks out there who have this breed of dog:

1. Do you have a problem with marking (specifically males)? If so, how do you get them to stop... if at all?


2. Any good way to get them to gain (VERY little, but enough to notice) weight while keeping their coat and skin healthy?
