Any insurance agents out there?

So, we just had golf ball size hail hit the town I live in. I know for a fact my wifes car is damaged. It has damage on the hood, roof and trunk that we know of so far. My truck was under a tree and is covered in tree debree so I have no idea how bad it is damaged if at all? Our house also took a pounding too and may have roof damage. Everything is under one policy but does anyone know if I will have to pay a deductible for each thing damaged or should the $500.00 deductible simply cover everything? IO have never had to do a claim before so this is going to be a first time experience for me.

Actually, I did do a renters claim 3 years ago over stuff damaged from a storm. We noticed it when we moved and found the storage area to our house had water damaged from a leaky roof that we never knew about. Our insurance was great in replacing everything so I guess this will be my second claim ever but the first time I may need to file a claim on both vehicles and my house.

Not an insurance agent but typically you have separate policies on vehicles and house so you should have separate deductibles on everything.

And a separate deductible for each vehicle, assuming comprehensive coverage was purchased on said vehicle.

Insurance agent in Texas, btw

TB OT is a Google-fueled library of common intelligence and a sausagefest-fueled resource of dumbness.

Yep, I called my agent today and it is separate deductibles for each vehicle and the house. I guess they also officially declared Logan County, where I live, a disaster area or something like that. My agent said I would have 1 adjuster for the house and 1 adjuster for the vehicles. I guess they knew it was going to be a busy day because when I arrived at work, my Lt. told me our insurance folks had been in their offices starting at 6:30am and a line had almost instantly started out the door.
