I bought a juicer thinking it'd be awesome. It made THE best juice I've ever had and it was really fun to make up your own combinations.
I got mine with credit card points but it retailed at 200-300$ and was supposedly (did some research before buying) one of the best machines on the market.
I returned it because you wouldn't imagine the amount of fruits and/or vegetables you have to put in to get a glassful of juice.
I understood the process and knew I would be losing some volume but sticking a whole apple in and getting a shot worth of apple juice just didn't do it for me.
Also the cleaning process REALLY sucks. Pulp is your enemy! (even though you can keep it for some recipes, it's a pain to store and even worst to clean.)
That being said - THE best juice you'll ever have... free of all chemicals and preservatives. Is it worth it for you?
I just stuck with eating the fruit.
Good luck! |

ginger makes stuff taste better
one of the juices he made i can only describes as "Spicy Grass" ...
I just can't get past the grocery bill to buy all those fruits and veggies and then throw away pounds of pulp/fiber every day.
i just get these if i want some good juice http://www.nakedjuice.com/#Homepage green machine is my favorite!

No proper "juicer" machine here. Sorry Jack Lalane.

No proper "juicer" machine here. Sorry Jack Lalane. | The problem with juicers is that they mainly discard the pulp, which I believe is where one would find most of the nutrients found in fruits & vegetables. One would be better off liquifying entire fruits or vegetables in a food processsor. Make your own naked juice!

Make your own naked juice! | I juice a lot, and I mix the left over pulp with some cooked lentils, chopped spinach, spices and then make them into little flat round fritters. Yum. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
