I use the search feature so dont blame on me he,he i just want to know if TB have any latin or puertorican "boricua" bassist Club here? i want to join, if not i think is time to create un nuevo club de gente latina.  |

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Aug 2010 Location: NewYork, NY | | Yes i have checked out some of the videos on youtube, i love that old style salsa, especially Frankie Ruiz, may he rest in peace, one of the best Salsa Bassist out is Ruben Rodriguez, i believe he even plays FODERA BASSES, he has got some nice smooth chops, but then again he has been SALSA playing for a long time. I also listen to BACHATA, like AVENTURA, those are pretty easy BASS lines to learn and catchy.  |

We play all Latin styles but lean heavily toward rumba/flamenco a la Gypsy Kings and Bebe, plus Pop like Laura Paucini, Shakira, Maná, Cafe Tacuba, Enanitos Verdes, Juiia Venegras, Jarabe de Palo, etc. with a bit of Reguetón, Bob Marley, and Jason Mraz. I love this music!
