Any MySQL/PHP experts here? I need an online database

I have a pretty large table of data (approx. 20 columns and 150 rows, with each intersection cell having a data value of 0 to 5), and I want visitors to my website to be able to sort the table to their needs. For one example of the sorting that I'd like to make available: there would be a prompt for the user to pick three or four columns, and all of the rows would be sorted according to their total data value in those 3 or 4 columns.

I found a cheap software package that claims to be able to build this sort of sortable online table easily, but it's only for older versions of Windows. My main web-writing computer is an old Mac G4 powerbook running OSX10.4.1, and I just got a new PC running Windows 7 Pro. I did a bunch of Googling for similar software and came up with only confusion and dead ends. So if you know of a product I should be looking at (aside from a college course in MySQL ) please let me know.

And if you or someone you know can build such a thing not too expensively, let me know.

Hi! I make a living out oof PHP+MySQL so I may help. Thing is I don't exactly get where you want to put this (hosting server has to support PHP+MySQL) and also don't know how it's displayed before the selection nor how selection's made. Maybe you could show some screen shots or something. If you tell me the table structure I can do a code sample for you (for free, of course).

Although the new "web developer" took ownership of the site by removing my copyright to put his and totally trashed the layout.

I moved to Dot Net / SQL Server but I probably have some good rests.

My web host ( www.Dreamhost.com ) does support MySQL and PHP, but they don't provide any programming assistance.

I haven't drawn up the sorting/selection view yet, but some variation of Nick's motorcycle one could work, or I also like this "narrowing the field" visual filter system on Mouser: http://www.mouser.com/Passive-Compon...ters/_/N-5g9f/

The idea is I have over a hundred reviews now, and it could go up to 200 or so, and I'm trying to make it easier for people to narrow down their choices based on the parameters that are most important to them.
