I have a great appreciation for natural beauty and have recently developed an appreciation for the healing energy of some stones. My 2 favorites are moss agate and malachite. Any other fans out there ?

A small piece of rose quartz makes a nice "I'm thinking of you" small gift for my wife. So we have a bunch of them...

My girlfriend is a geologist and she has shown me some very cool specimens. I've also had to buy her some very cool specimens for her collection
Cavansite is amazing, especially when found on a calcite matrix.
At school, she and I often go hunting for specimens. I just like to crack open rocks with the pick....
Also, geologists are the easiest people to shop. Buy them a damn rock and they're happy. My girlfriend doesn't want diamonds. She wants geodes. Brilliant.

Seriously, they are pretty cool. I also have a good sized polished quartz crystal on my windowsill, and I do have a small collection of fossils I've found.

That said, if it happens to be the catalyst to good change in a man... that's a cool thing.
The wife and I have a collection of rough precious stones... a few uncut carats of each: Emeralds, Aquamarine, Garnet, Tourmaline, and a few misc random gem stones.

Reason: wife corrected me on the types of stones we have.

I'm not into jewels, but I do appreciate fossils for their paleological value.

For her birthday last year. I appreciated the geometrical formations, mainly because I dig sacred geometry and Metatron's Cube.
I also got here a strange rock with pyrite inclusions. I'll snap some pictures of the actual pieces when the light is a little better tomorrow.
