Question Any other fans of gem stones and rocks ?

I have a great appreciation for natural beauty and have recently developed an appreciation for the healing energy of some stones. My 2 favorites are moss agate and malachite. Any other fans out there ?

Not sure about your whole healing energy thing, but I collect fossils and some rocks, more for aesthetics than anything. I wish I had some fulgurite, those things are wicked.

I'm a fan, however, do not like them adorning anything.

rocks rock. well, they do.
A small piece of rose quartz makes a nice "I'm thinking of you" small gift for my wife. So we have a bunch of them...

I have some. I'm a geologist so I'm "naturally" interested.
I like tourmaline

I doubt the healing properties of any rock or mineral, but I do fancy some of them. My girlfriend is a geologist and she has shown me some very cool specimens. I've also had to buy her some very cool specimens for her collection

Cavansite is amazing, especially when found on a calcite matrix.

At school, she and I often go hunting for specimens. I just like to crack open rocks with the pick....

Also, geologists are the easiest people to shop. Buy them a damn rock and they're happy. My girlfriend doesn't want diamonds. She wants geodes. Brilliant.

I'm interested in the properties of substances with crystal lattices, so, yes I guess

I'm from Michigan man! Petoskey stone FTW!!

Seriously, they are pretty cool. I also have a good sized polished quartz crystal on my windowsill, and I do have a small collection of fossils I've found.

Have you done any reading on metallic glass? Pretty freaking cool stuff.

I like rocks... but any physical reaction a body has to touching or looking at them is more likely done by the mind IMO/E. That said, if it happens to be the catalyst to good change in a man... that's a cool thing.

The wife and I have a collection of rough precious stones... a few uncut carats of each: Emeralds, Aquamarine, Garnet, Tourmaline, and a few misc random gem stones.

At the risk of being a jerk, could you kindly back up the healing power claim with any, even minute, semblence of support, evidence, or even wild theories?

I'm not into jewels, but I do appreciate fossils for their paleological value.

My wife is a big rock hound. I got here a giant piece of fluorite. For her birthday last year. I appreciated the geometrical formations, mainly because I dig sacred geometry and Metatron's Cube.

I also got here a strange rock with pyrite inclusions. I'll snap some pictures of the actual pieces when the light is a little better tomorrow.

I myself like hematite.
