Any Teachers out there?

Sign in to disble this ad
So I'm wanting to become a High School History Teacher and in August i'll hopefully be going to either CU or CSU, just have to wait for Acceptance Letter. So I'm wondering how did you guys do it? Did you have to take separate classes and tests to be certified or was it one Major? Also how did you find your Job? Any help would be greatly appreciated, not a lot of my teachers are helping me with this.

Thanks in advance!
Ron

if you go to a four year school in the state you want to teach in you're fine, the ed program will hook you up with the student teaching and certification for your state and advice you on how to start subbing, but if you're trying to move to teach in NY or CA it's a big pain in the ass to get certified
